New Leadership for National Veterans Day in Birmingham

Nation's Oldest Veterans Day Celebration Enhances Web Presence

October 5, 2011 -- Birmingham, Alabama -- Today the National Veterans Day in Birmingham organization announced that, due to the retirement of long-time leader Bill Voigt, the leadership of National Veterans Day in Birmingham is now in the capable hands of Jim Holt and Mark Ryan.

Since 1947 National Veterans Day in Birmingham has held many annual events every November 11th, including a major parade, and an awards dinner honoring deserving veterans, and is recognized as the nations oldest and largest veterans day observance.
