New Web Site for National Veterans Day in Birmingham

Nation's Oldest Veterans Day Celebration Enhances Web Presence

April, 7, 2001 -- Birmingham, Alabama -- Today the National Veterans Day in Birmingham organization announced that it has launched a new web site at http://www.nationalveteransday.org , to promote and provide information about the nation's oldest and largest veterans day celebration.

Since 1947 National Veterans Day in Birmingham has held many annual events every November 11th, including a major parade, and an awards dinner honoring deserving veterans, and is recognized as the nations oldest and largest veterans day observance.

Bill Voigt, President of National Veterans Day in Birmingham, said that, "The new National Veterans Day web site will extend our reach and allow us to enhance our efforts to honor all who serve and who have served in the armed forces of our nation, whose sacrifices on behalf of all of us must be appreciated and honored."
