World Peace Luncheon

National Veterans Day in Birmingham holds a World Peace Luncheon each year as part of National Veterans Day observances. This luncheon typically features addresses by the Governor of Alabama, leaders of various veterans organizations, presentations of awards to distinguished veterans and a keynote speech by a prominent national leader.

The keynote speaker for the World Peace Luncheon in 2009 will be Judson E. Bennett, Jr., Director of the National Museum of the United States Army.
